WBI's VIPR tool is a slow-rotating jetting tool for downhole jetting and abrasive jet cutting operations. Unlike other similar rotating tools the rotational speed is not controlled by a viscous fluid and therefore is not affected by downhole conditions. The rotational speed can also be adjusted to suit the specific application. The tools slow rotational speed improves jetting efficiency and also makes the VIPR tool ideal for high velocity abrasive jet cutting operations.
The specially engineered removable nozzles are designed for maximum jet efficiency and impact and provide the ability to clean within recesses such as nipple profiles and side pockets without damaging the completion components. High performance carbide nozzles are used when abrasive fluids are required for abrasive jet cutting operations. Various rotating head sizes and configurations are available.
