Swivel Joint

The Swivel Joint is a standard toolstring component and when used, permits full rotation of the bottom hole assembly below the swivel.
The Swivel Joint is necessary where free rotation of the tool string is required downhole, such as for orientation of the string below or to help with access through downhole restrictions, etc. The design also allows full flow through and full pressure integrity.
Drop balls can also be used through the swivel joint to a BHA component below.
