Product Code: WBI PDS 0002
The C-Load Hydraulic Disconnect is an extremely robust, heavy duty, drop ball emergency release tool. It allows a stuck bottom hole assembly (BHA) to be detached at a pre-determined point. The C-Load disconnect does not utilise locking dogs or keys, which are commonly used in other disconnect tools, as these typically create a weak point in the tool when subjected to vibration and bending loads. The unique grapple design of the C-Load is the key to the tools inherent strength.
The C-Load disconnect offers excellent resistance to impact, vibration, torque and high bending loads and is suitable for heavy duty applications including the use below jars and in milling, under-reaming, cutting and perforating assemblies. The tool can also be fitted with a rupture disc facility in order to re-establish circulation in the event of a plugged toolstring.
The tool is activated by circulating a drop ball via the work string and applying a pre-determined pressure to activate the release mechanism. The upper portion of the tool can then be recovered from the well leaving a standard internal 'GS' profile for subsequent fishing operations.
Features:
- Extremely resistant to vibration and impact loads.
- Designed to be run below jarring assemblies.
- Surface pressure indication of successful activation.
- Integral rupture disc in case of loss of circulation.
- Variable ball seat sizes and shear rating.
- Retained shear pins cannot vibrate free.
- Easily field redressable.
